Dr. Amalia Acorda-Fey is a Northwest native, born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Her life-long love for animals began at an early age, with the adoption of her first dog from a local shelter and a trip to volunteer at a renowned rescue organization (Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah). At the University of Puget Sound, she earned a B.S. in biology and was an All-American member of the women’s soccer team.
Throughout her undergraduate degree and after graduation, she enjoyed volunteering at local shelters and working at veterinary clinics. With her desire to pursue veterinary medicine solidified, Dr. Acorda-Fey went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University.
A few of her many areas of interest include preventative care, dentistry, and ultrasonography. In addition to the medical side of veterinary practice, she values the important connection between pets and their humans and is honored to be a part of these caring relationships. Dr. Acorda-Fey is excited to return to beautiful Western Washington and is making the move with her dog, Lottie, a comical Border Collie mix adopted in Idaho. She loves to camp and hike, play soccer, cheer for Seattle sports teams, and support local restaurants.
